Welcome to RatMap! By using the RatMap mobile application ("App"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
You must be at least 13 years old to use RatMap. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this age requirement.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. You agree to provide accurate information when creating your account and to keep your information up to date. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
You retain ownership of the content you post (photos, descriptions, sightings). By posting content on RatMap, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your content within the App.

You agree to use RatMap for its intended purpose — reporting and viewing rat sightings. You may not:
RatMap has zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. You can report any sighting, comment, or user directly in the App, and you can block any user to immediately hide their content and stop them from interacting with you.
We review every report and will remove violating content and, where appropriate, suspend or ban the responsible user within 24 hours. Repeated violations may result in permanent account suspension or termination.
RatMap respects intellectual property rights and responds to notices of alleged copyright infringement under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act ("DMCA").
If you believe content on RatMap infringes your copyright, send a written notice to our designated agent at [email protected] that includes: (1) your physical or electronic signature; (2) identification of the copyrighted work; (3) identification of the infringing material and where it appears in the App; (4) your contact information; (5) a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized; and (6) a statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and you are authorized to act on the copyright owner's behalf.

We remove infringing material promptly and terminate the accounts of repeat infringers. If you believe your content was removed in error, you may send a counter-notice to the same address.
RatMap requires location access to function properly. By using the App, you consent to the collection and use of your location data as described in our Privacy Policy. Sightings you submit include location coordinates that are visible to other users.
RatMap is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any sighting data. We are not responsible for actions taken based on information in the App.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, RatMap and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.
You may delete your account at any time from the Settings screen. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Upon deletion, all your data will be permanently removed as described in our Privacy Policy.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of RatMap after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We will notify you of significant changes through the App.
